So who am I? I suddenly realized that after blogging for over three and a half years, I’ve never taken the time to tell who I am and what is currently on my heart.
I try to be groovy, green, and keep my heart gunk-free. I am God’s beloved and strive to live as an ordinary radical on this wild journey of life. I am a mother of 4 small children–Esther (9), Silas (8), Phoebe (3), and Asher (2). Believe it or not–fertility, pregnancy, and childbirth did not come easy to me and all of my children are definitely miracles.
In December of 2013, we did what any person with a stable job, fancy house, and secure lifestyle would do: we walked away from it all. Why? Because God was calling us back into the original call on our hearts to fight against the injustices of this world. We began training for overseas missions with YWAM Orlando and haven’t looked back once since we ran after our dreams. Let us point out that this was not an easy choice. In order to make this happen, we’ve had to move our family into a fifth wheel camper as we continue to “decrease” so that others in the world may “increase.” Because of our journey with Sy, we are developing aquaponics technology to help train others to come alongside and educate poverty-stricken communities across the globe in food crises. Jordan’s medical background is being put to good use as he is also developing a medical training program and finding simple, natural, and “No Muck” ways to provide healthcare to those who have no access. I am supporting this effort as I am currently pursuing certification in aromatherapy and using essential oils for a multitude of purposes. We continue to take steps forward toward God using our family however He sees fit for His purpose. We were living on mission in every sense of the word but through a series of events, we had to put our dream of international missions on hold. We see now that this was all part of a bigger plan as we eventually needed to be stateside for Sy’s care and healing. So now missions is taking on a bit of a different look for us.
So now I blog to help others on their journey to total health–in all areas. God has given us a launching pad through Sy’s story and we want to inspire others to find health, peace, and happiness through clean and purposeful living… Strive for No Muck!
